The book "The Early Settlement of Stamford, Connecticut 1641-1700…," by Jeanne Majdalany, pp. 154-55: "CLASON, CLAUSON, CLOYSON, Stephen - dc1700, m1655 Elizabeth Periment (b1631, d1714). Stephen Clason was married in Stamford in 1654, but who Elizabeth Periment was remains a mystery. Eardeley suggests that her name was Penoyer. Stephen's son Stephen moved to Bedford. His two grandchildren, children of the late Jonathan, lived with him, according to his will. The witch trial of his wife took place in the early 1690s. The Clasons lived on the east side of West Street from 1654 to the late 1670's when they moved west of Mill River north of the road. Descendants: A.
