Even though the LDS baptism was done vicariously in behalf of "Nancy Ashley Claridge" in 1877 by her cousin in the St. George, Utah, Temple, it appears that the cousin may have messed up her name and that Nancy's sister Sally (Sarah) Ashley was the one that married Mr. Claridge. A marriage is found in Davidson co., Tennessee, dated 1 Aug 1816 for John Claridge and Sally Ashley.
