2. The 1703 Assessment for Stockbury shows both a James Knight the elder and James Knight the younger. The elder is most likely James (1651-1709) and the younger is his son James (1674-1720). The former is at the bottom of one page and the latter at the top of the next page; they are separated by eight names. It is noted that they are "Beyond ye Church";
