  RESEARCH_NOTES: 1. Email dated 9 Jul 2015 from family researcher Rose Green : "I did do a little searching on the Hitzackers, who married into the Hartwig family (hoping they'd have some clues on Hartwigs). It looks like there was a branch of them up in Luneburg, and another closely related one in Ascherode, and they were all Prussian military officers. They are also related to the Welf dynasty of Braunschweig-Luneburg, but the line has apparently died out, so it's hard to find modern information on them. Georg Andreas Hartwig's daughter Johanna married one of these people and died five years later. I can't help wondering what happened to her husband and son, and so every so often I take another stab at it."
