1. For additional ancestry, see source cited below.
2. Parents are Ichabod Buell and Hepzibah Dewey. Ordinance Index shows them with a couple of other children: Jemime b. 9 Jun 1764 in Hebron and Ichabod b. 1765 in Hebron. Jemime's name is by the LDS extraction program. Using this info, it is surmisable that Hepzibah was perhaps born in Hebron. 5 Oct 2002 email from Marsha Markham indicates that there is a Wells family history book published about 3 years ago by John L. Cobb, 511 So. Park Road, apt. 133, Spokane, WA 99712-0551 which states: Hepzibah Buel, dau. of Ichabod and Hapzibah (Dewey) Buel of Hebron, CT, was born about 1771; was received into communion of the Prot. Presbyterian Church of Cambridge, NY, 17 Oct 1809.
3. Marriage and birth of parents and other siblings (no birth entry for Hepzibah Buell) from "The Barbour Collection of Connecticut Town Vital Records" for Hebron, Tolland, CT:

For Old Turnpike Cemetery, with over 50 Wells including: Hepzibah Wells, d. 13 Dec 1849, Sec. C, row, 12, in her 48th y, wife of Capt. Edmund. [The date looks like a typo and may be unreliable.
