Some have said the marriage was 24 Jul 1785, but that is incorrect. FHL book "Pennsylvania German Marriages," by Donna R. Rush (Baltimore, 1984), p. 477, shows a marriage of John Turner and Barbara Wambler, 24 Jul 1785, in First Trinity Reformed Church in York, York Co., PA.
