3. Occupation: woodsman or woodskeeper per christening records of his children. Also Mary Ann Burnhope Wallace indicates: "My ancestors were foresters and brewers." Same is shown in 1841 census.

Additionally I was able to review another transcription at the Northumberland Records Office at Woodhorn for which I add the additional information in [brackets]. There was no Elizabeth:

Warden Parish Records - Marriages, FHL Film # 1068615, 1754-1812 Item 6 Entry # 107 Banns of Marriage between William Burnhope and Mary Oliver were published June 12th, the 19th and 26th 1808 by John Thompson Vic. The said William Burnhope and Mary Oliver both of the Chapelry of Newbrough in this Parish were married in this Church by Banns this tenth day of July 1808 by John Thompson Vic. This marriage was solemnized between us William Burnhope & Mary Oliver (her X mark). In the presence of [and signed by] Francis Thompson & Joseph Burnope. [Joseph Burnhope is probably either his brother or father.]

b. Per correspondence from Northumberland Record Office, Details of Post-1837 Marriage Entry, Hexham Parish, entry #282, 18th May 1844, married by banns, in the presence of Elizabeth Bell and John Brown.
Male: William Burnhope, of full age, widower, woodman, residence at Sunnyside, father's name is Joseph Burnhope who is a miller.
Female: Jane Lamb, of full age, spinster, no profession, residence in Hexham, father's name is William Lamb who is a husbandman.
