  RESEARCH_NOTES: 1. Most LDS genealogies note Rachel's last name as Gardner. I have changed it to Gardinier since this is the surname occurring in the time and place Rachel lived. 2. The book "Compendium of Mohawk Valley Families," by Marily Penrose, pp. 293-295, does not mention any Gardinier to which I can connect Rachel. If they are related, they are either of the same generation as Rachel or a generation later. DEATH: 1. Montgomery County, NY, Archives 19 Sep 2007 visit: Mentioned in the book "Abstracts of Wills of Montgomery County, 1787 - 1831": "Young, William, of the town of Florida, will dated 11-12-1811, probated -- Mentions, wife Rachel; brothers Peter (and his son Peter), George (and his son William); sister's son William Frederick.
