Cook b. 1869 Garner Twp., Pottawattamie, Iowa; d. 1935 at Council Bluffs, IA; m. 21 Nov 1880 in Council Bluffs to Catherine Graybill who was b. 25 Dec 1858 in Underwood, IA and d. 2 May 1923 in Council Bluffs. They are buried I believe in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs. I have to dig deeper in files on this. Cook 2X great grandparents originally settled and devout Mormons also buried here also near the General Dodge shrine. Thomas Cook's parents, grandparents, and great grandparents are buried in Garner Twp. Cemetery which is still active today but started by the Mormons. Thomas and Catharine had 2 daughters."

      MARRIAGE:
      1. Internet site www.genexchange.org for Pottawattamie IAGenExchange marriage records indicate: "Catherine Graybill, Thomas Cook, 21 Nov 1880." Middle name may be David per LDS Pedigree Resouce File entry. According to Online Ordinance Index, they had two children: Flossie, b. Aug 1884, and Bessie, b. Nov 1888, both in Potta. Co. IA. James Hook in the book referenced below also mentions Thomas Cook as the husband; he also notes that William Cook, a brother of Thomas Hook, married Catherine's sister Lydia.

      2. Jacqueline Cook 23 Jan 2008 "I saw where you have a tree that includes Cahterine Graybill Cook - md. to Thomas Cook. It is Thomas D. David Cook. He was my husband's great great uncle. I have Cook information I will share if interested. They were on a wagon train of Mormons who came thru Council Bluffs in 1851. I have marriage and death and some marriage records."
