      "Ruth Drake (John2, John1), born Dec. 1, 1657, at Windsor, Conn.; married Jan. 25, 1676, at Windsor, as second wife, Samuel Barber, baptized Oct. 1, 1648, son of Thomas and Jane Barber. Samuel Barber married (1) Mary Coggens, Dec. 1, 1670. They had Thomas, born Oct. 7, 1671, who died Oct. 1673, and Samuel, born Jan. 26, 1673. Mary, wife of Samuel, died May 19, 1676. Samuel barber's will was dated Feb. 21, 1708/9, proved Apr. 4, 1709, Inventory ₤598/04/10. Ruth Barber, widow of Samuel, made her will Nov. 13, 1716. It was proved Dec. 1731. She died Nov. 13, 1731.
