      2. Correspondent Marsha Markham per 30 Sep 2002 email offers the following as children of this individual: "I'll have to reopen my files and check what the references are...I know they are valid...much has come down through a family historian but there are also references from some books. I am missing the page that has Edmund and Jane so cannot tell you the date of their oldest child's birth. I saw your entry on rootsweb.com and can add a bit more information for you. He did not marry Ann Cooper on the 27th of Sept 1814 because he died of spotted fever on 2 Apr of 1813. I'm thinking this may be his son Edmund who is my descendant. He married Jane Cooper (daughter of John Cooper). Here is a listing of Edmund Henry Wells and Hepzibah Buel's children. By the way, her father was Ichabod Buel.
      a. Edmund, b. 26 Mar 1792, Cambridge, Washington, NY. wed Jane Cooper (this is my ancestor...just so you know).
      b. Wealthy Ann, b. 25 Jan 1794, Cambridge. m. Samuel Cooper (b. 19 Sep 1791, d. 27 Mar 1839, Burton, Adams, IL). Wealthy d. 23 Mar 1865, Buckeye, Yolo, Ca.
      c. James...occupation was a shoemaker. He died at Harmony, Chautauqua, NY. He was wed to Clorinda Griffin.
      d. Priscilla, d. at Busti, Chautauqua, NY...wed to a Mr. Dickinson.
      e. Elizabeth, d. Chautauqua, NY...wed to Lewis Berry.
      f. Sidney, d. in Ca...wed to Sylvia FairChild (d/o James FairChild.) 2nd wife was Hannah Morrison
