      MY GRANDMA JULIA SPOKE FLUENT POLISH, WHICH WAS COMMONLY SPOKEN IN HER HOME. AFTER LEO'S DEATH, SHE LIVED ALONE IN THEIR HOUSE IN THE SW CORNER OF BUFFALO CENTER. BEFORE HER MARRIAGE, SHE WAS WORKING AS A CLERK IN THE FARMERS STORE FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE AND REMAINED THERE WORKING FOR THE REMAINER OF THE YEAR OF HER MARRIAGE.
