| 305 | from the notes of Kent M. Gossman: Sarah went by her second name, Belle. Her tombstone shows "Belle S." Her husband's obituary lists his wife as Sarah Belle. Her obituary listed "Belle" but the funeral folder said "In memory of Sarah Belle Gossman". The above is from notes by Isabelle Gossman Clausen, her granddaughter. I HAVE HER BIRTH AS 8 SEP, DON'T KNOW WHERE THAT CORRECTION CAME FROM, BUT JAMES GOSSMAN SHOWED IT AS 10 SEP. After her husbands death she lived with her son William Earl Gossman and moved with his family in 1944 to Thompson, IA where she had her own house until 1961 when she moved to the Shiff Rest Home, Mason City, IA where she died. Her home was in Buffalo Center near her son Leo. Have list of parents and bro/sis on hand written, need to xfer. MY GRANDPA LEO SAID SHE WAS HALF SCOTCH AND HALF IRISH, BUT WITH HER BEING A WILLIAMS, I THINK HE MEAN'T SHE WAS HALF SCOT/IRISH, AND HALF WELSH. LDS LIBRARY HAS RECORD OF HER AND BROTHER FRANK'S BIRTH IN OHIO. Downloaded from Rootsweb WorldConnect Project, file of Helen Rehart Fagerburg <granolamama@gmail.com>. | Sarah Belle Woods
