LIBBY, Mont. — Funeral services for Ernest Spencer. 78. were conducted Thursday at Libby with the Rev. Hatch Frost of the Church of God officiating. Interment followed at the Libby Cemetery.
Spencer, a long time resident of the Libby area and a veteran sawyer of the J. Neils Lumber Co. died of s heart attack at his Libby home. He helped build the Lincoln Elementary School and the old high school at Libby. He retired from the J. Neils Co. in 1957 following 30 years of service.
His wife, Mable, died in 1983. Survivors include a daughter. Luceile Tarbert; three sons. Kenneth. Ralph and Leonard Spencer and a brother. Vern Spencer, all of Libby; 21 grandchildren and I great-grandchildren.

WENATCHEE, April 25, Frank Joseph Tarbert, 79, Wenatchee, died here last night. Born in Ohio, he moved to Spokane in 1880 and lived much of his life in the Spokane and Deer Park regions. He moved to Wenatchee 10 years ago.
He first lived on Wild Rose prairie near Spokane and during the Indian uprising in that area he and his mother were attacked by the Indians. He later helped build an Indian stockade for protection of the whites.
He was in the lumber business in Deer Park for many years.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran church in Atkinson last Friday afternoon for Philip Bausch, Sr., who died at Atalissa, la., Sept. 17 at the age of 99 years. The service was conducted by the local pastor, Rev. Wm. G. Vahle, and the following account of his life was given:
“Philip Bausch was born at Baden, Germany, Oct. 31, 1830, and died; at Atalissa, la., Sept. 17, 1929, aged 98 years, 19 months and 17 v days! He was married to Margaret Diddler in 1850 and in 1867 the family came to America, settling in Illinois. From Illinois they moved to Iowa and then to eastern Nebraska.
Five children were born in Germany and eight in America. Two daughters, Margaret and Eva, died in infancy, in Iowa and one son, Adam, died there at the age of 8 years. Two sons, William at 10 years of age, and Philip at 68, died in Nebraska and are buried here. His wife who preceded him in death 21 years ago, is also buried in Atkinson.
Those left to mourn his death are Charles of O'Neill, Henry, Fred and Stephen of Phoenix, Adolph of Atalissa, la., Mrs. Kate Kirsch of Muscatine, la., Mrs. Elizabeth Wenzel of Steinauer and Mrs. Anna Evens of Atkinson Thirty grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren also survive him.”

Glen Albert Waldow, 69, 1661 Benedict Drive. San Leandro, former Oakland Jeweler, died Monday in a Castro Valley convalescent hospital.
Mr. Waldow had retired about four years ago from operation of his Jewelry store in Oakland.
A native of Lincoln, Neb., Mr. Waldow was a member of Brooklyn Lodge No 225 F. & A.M., Oakland Scottish Rite Bodies, Cecelia Shrine No. 3 0.W.S.J. and the Fruitvale Exchange Club.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p m. tomorrow at the New Colonial chapel, 2626 High St. Oakland, with Brooklyn Lodge No 225, officiating.

LIBBY - Leroy "Roy” Tarbert, 85, died Thursday in Lewistown of natural causes.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Vial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the City of Libby Cemetery.
Survivors are a daughter, Thelma Bell of Rexberg, Idaho; four sons, Ernest and Kim, both of Libby; Don Tarbert of Ellensberg, Wash.; Len Tarbert of Marion; a brother, Raymond "Hap" Tarbert of Missoula; 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
